Central Florida is home to some of the most popular theme parks in the world, and there’s even more excitement on the way in 2023.

Here are just a few of the new attractions that will be opening their doors this year:

  • TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom: This high-speed coaster will take guests on a thrilling journey through the Grid. Riders will board a Lightcycle, a vehicle inspired by the TRON films, and race through a neon-lit world of computer-generated imagery. The coaster is expected to reach speeds of up to 67 mph.

  • Pipeline: The Surf Coaster at SeaWorld Orlando: This first-of-its-kind coaster will let guests experience the thrill of surfing. Riders will stand up on a surfboard-like vehicle and hang on as the coaster twists and turns through a series of waves. The coaster is expected to reach speeds of up to 60 mph.

  • Villain-Con Minion Blast at Universal Orlando: This interactive blaster game will let guests test their villainous skills. Riders will be divided into teams and compete against each other to see who can score the most points by blasting targets throughout the ride. The game is expected to be family-friendly, but it will also have a competitive edge.

  • Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT: This immersive water walk will let guests explore the world of Moana. Riders will follow a winding path through a lush rainforest, where they will encounter waterfalls, streams, and other water features. Along the way, they will learn about the culture and mythology of the Polynesian islands.

  • Dreamer’s Point at EPCOT: This new area will feature live music performances, gardens, and a statue of Walt Disney. Dreamer’s Point is located in the World Celebration neighborhood of EPCOT, which is themed to the power of human creativity. The area is expected to be a popular spot for families and couples to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.

  • Pirate River Quest at Legoland Florida: This family-friendly boat ride will take guests on an adventure with LEGO pirates. Riders will board a pirate ship and float down a river, where they will encounter a variety of LEGO-themed scenes, including a shipwreck, a pirate fort, and a hidden treasure chest. The ride is expected to be a fun and exciting adventure for all ages.

  • Serengeti Flyer at Busch Gardens Tampa: This soaring coaster will reach speeds of 68 mph and heights of 135 feet. Riders will board a suspended gondola and soar over the African savanna, where they will get a bird’s-eye view of the animals below. The ride is expected to be a thrilling and unforgettable experience.

These are just a few of the many new attractions that will be opening in Central Florida in 2023. With so much to see and do, there’s sure to be something for everyone. I’m personally most excited to experience Journey of Water from Moana. What about you?
