The insanely popular Australian cartoon Bluey is expanding beyond the Disney+ streaming service and leaping onto game consoles.

A new Bluey video game has just been revealed thanks to an official rating. This indicates the Heeler family is following in the pawprints of other animated hits like Paw Patrol that have successfully jumped from TV to interactive entertainment.

Details remain murky about the upcoming title, which is apparently called “Bluey: The Video Game.”

This news should thrill the legions of Bluey fans both young and old who have become obsessed with the adventures of Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, Chilli, and company.

Disney snapped up the distribution rights and brought Bluey to North American audiences via Disney+ in 2019. Since then, it has become the streaming service’s runaway most popular series.

The timing of Bluey’s first foray into gaming is interesting, coming on the heels of the show’s creators announcing a hiatus after 5 years and over 150 episodes.

This gives Bluey fans a new way to enjoy the beloved Australian Heeler family during the lull before season 4 eventually drops. And launching on consoles will introduce Bluey to a whole new audience outside of Disney+.
