The God of Mischief is back with his TVA bestie for another wild ride through the multiverse in the upcoming second season of ‘Loki.’ Owen Wilson recently dropped some details that have fans buzzing with anticipation.

Last we saw Loki and Mobius, the sacred timeline had shattered after Sylvie killed He Who Remains, leaving countless dangerous new timelines vulnerable to an impending ‘multiversal war’. A confused Loki returned to the TVA only to find that Mobius had no idea who he was. This season, the duo will have to re-team to try and stop the coming chaos.

Wilson revealed that Season 2 will dive deeper into the backstory of his character, Mobius, giving viewers insight into what makes the quirky TVA agent tick. This is great news for fans who have been wanting more development beyond Mobius’ love of fancy boats and soda.

Promo photos show Loki and Mobius suited up in special ‘temporal suits’ designed to help them avoid detection as they travel through the convoluted new multiverse. The suits look slick and hint at the inventive new time travel technology we’ll see in Season 2.

Speaking of time travel, a sneak peek clip shows Loki and Mobius in the past observing a historical figure named Victor Timely, who comic book fans will recognize as a version of the villain Kang the Conqueror. It seems Victor’s destiny to control the future timeline will play a key role in the new season.

Actor Owen Wilson teased that he enjoyed making Season 2 even more than the first, likely due to all the banter and camaraderie between Loki and Mobius as they join forces to fix the timeline. Their hilarious odd couple dynamic was a real highlight of Season 1.

Loki Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on October 6th, and will run for 6 episodes. Based on Wilson’s comments, fans are in for plenty of unpredictable, reality-bending adventures with everyone’s favorite Asgardian and his TVA pal when the show returns. The timeline may be broken, but the chemistry between Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson looks unbreakable.
